Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corporation is seeking a Mechanical Engineer II to design, develop, test, and certify complex mechanical systems for aerospace and defense in a hybrid office environment.

You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure performance, quality, and regulatory compliance, applying CAD/CAE tools, conducting analyses, and authoring documentation. A U.S. security clearance is required or obtainable, with opportunity to contribute across ISR, aviation and national security programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in mechanical or aerospace engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of mechanical engineering experience in aerospace/defense.
• Proficiency with CAD and engineering analysis tools.
• Ability to obtain and maintain US Secret security clearance.
