Job summary

ENSCO Avionics is seeking a mechanical engineer to join our team. You will design and specify layouts, validate form, fit, and function, and coordinate with manufacturing and customers to ensure conformance to specifications. The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, at least 3 years of experience in design or design engineering, and proficiency with AutoCAD or Creo.

U.S. citizenship is required for this role.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field is required.
  • Minimum 3 years of related experience.
  • Experience in design or design engineering.
  • Experience with AutoCAD and/ or Creo is preferred.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing designs and specifications, assisting in generation of layouts.
  • Preparing and checking drawing and processes changes as required for production and customers.
  • Assuring form, fit, and function of components through dimensional studies, and correlating engineering data to customer specifications.
  • Interfacing with other departments for the manufacturing and testing of samples.
  • Interfacing with customers and vendors to assure conformance to customer specifications.
  • Coordinating the manufacturing of customer prototypes.
  • Performing the functions required to process estimate requests and marketing product requests.
  • Performing engineering investigations of manufacturing/quality problems.
  • Reviewing customer documents for compliance with AMHS documents and if necessary, preparing new designs to conform to these documents.
  • Working closely with the Business Development Managers and Product Managers of various business units.
  • Regularly and proactively communicating with customers, Marketing, Manufacturing, Quality, Process, Purchasing, and experimental personnel.

Education

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field
