Job summary

Teradyne's Defense & Aerospace division seeks a Mechanical Engineer to design and deliver electro-mechanical solutions for advanced test systems supporting mission-critical aerospace and defense applications. You will lead mechanical design of cables, ITAs, and custom test fixtures from concept through production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of electro-mechanical design experience.
• Proficiency with SOLIDWORKS and CAD tools.
• Experience with metal fabrication and machining.
• Knowledge of IPC/WHMA-A-620 and cable/wire harness design.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design of cables, ITAs, and custom test fixtures for automated test equipment.
• Develop and release detailed CAD models, drawings, and documentation from concept through production.
• Collaborate with systems engineering, program management, and customers to define requirements and solutions.
• Build and validate designs through analysis, prototyping, and testing.
• Support product lifecycle activities including sustaining engineering and design improvements.
• Partner with suppliers and internal manufacturing teams to deliver cost-effective solutions.
