Job summary

Pratt & Whitney, an RTX company, is seeking a Mechanical Design – Hot Section Engineering Intern in Oklahoma City. The role involves leading mechanical problem resolution within an IPT, coordinating with engineering disciplines, and ensuring robust technical solutions while maintaining schedule and performance targets.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship session.
• Must have a minimum of 60 hours of credit by the start of the internship session.
• Minimum 3.0 Cumulative GPA

Responsibilities

• Lead resolution of mechanical engineering problems of difficult and complex scope, seeking a balanced system solution with supervisor oversight.
• Support Operations and collaborate with Engineering Support Teams to address production and sustainment issues to facilitate timely delivery of engines.
• Work with Customer Technical Support to respond to customer questions and lead timely resolution of field event root cause analyses.
• Process technically sound engineering changes within program schedule that meet performance metrics such as cost, weight, and part life.
