Job summary

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) seeks a Mechanical Design Engineer in the Systems Integration Group. Under supervision, you will analyze and resolve engineering problems of moderate scope using 3D CAD, drawings, and reports to support aircraft systems integration.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, validate interfaces, perform tests, document findings, and assist in production transitions while adhering to safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
• Two or more years of engineering experience with a bachelor’s degree.
• Ability to understand new concepts quickly and apply them in evolving environments.
• Good communication, documentation and interpersonal skills; ability to work independently or in a team.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain DoD Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, investigate and resolve engineering problems of moderate scope.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate interfaces of avionics and mission systems.
• Perform functional testing and troubleshoot equipment and systems.
• Obtain and analyze test data; document findings and solutions.
• Provide direction to design or technical staff as needed; present technical results.
