Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace in Phoenix, AZ seeks a Mechanical Design Engineer II to design and develop mechanical solutions with CAD proficiency, reporting to the Mechanical Design Engineering Manager. The role is hybrid in Phoenix and focuses on structural analysis, CAD, and rigorous documentation.

The candidate will perform stress analyses, participate in design reviews, and support tests while coordinating with project teams and driving process improvements across the CDA group.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering, or mathematics.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience performing structural analysis on gas turbine engines.
• Strong working knowledge of ANSYS finite element software & hand calculation methods.

Responsibilities

• Perform stress analysis using complex finite element and classical methods, and support testing.
