Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace is seeking an Advanced Mechanical Design Engineer – Stress Analysis (Finance) to join the Tempe Analysis team on a hybrid schedule. You will perform complex stress analyses and contribute to technical documentation for multiple product lines.

Collaboration with project teams and cross-functional colleagues is essential to success, with visibility in design reviews. The role requires a strong background in FEA/ANSYS, good communication, and a proactive, team-oriented attitude.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (STEM) from an accredited institution.
• 5+ years of static structural, dynamic, and modal analysis using FEA software (ANSYS preferred).
• Fundamental understanding of ANSYS finite element software and classical hand calculation methods.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey technical information to diverse audiences.
• Experience working in a team-oriented environment with cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Perform stress analysis using finite element and classical methods and support testing.
• Create technical documentation such as stress reports and part specifications.
• Collaborate with project, design, and other engineering disciplines.
• Create and present analysis results in design reviews.
• Provide workload estimation and maintain schedule adherence to milestones.
