Job summary

CFD Research Corporation in Crane, IN seeks a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team and advance design, development and integration of complex aerospace hardware, including GD&T drawings and manufacturing considerations.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with 5+ years of hands-on prototype work, CAD experience (SolidWorks), and familiarity with AS9100 processes and government/stakeholder collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering and at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience designing and developing prototype hardware with GD&T (ASME Y14.5).
• SolidWorks or equivalent CAD experience; design for manufacturing including milling and turning.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and integrate complex mechanical systems for aerospace hardware.
• Create GD&T drawings and review against AS9100 requirements.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver prototypes and flight hardware.
