Job summary

Intuitive Machines West in Palo Alto, CA is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer for the MAGE Engineering group to design complex mechanical ground support equipment for spacecraft assembly, integration and test.

The role requires a Bachelor's in mechanical or aerospace engineering and 3–5 years of experience in mechanical design; on-site with hybrid flexibility, CAD in CREO Parametric and SolidWorks; report to MAGE Responsible Engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering or related discipline.
• 3–5 years of experience in mechanical design engineering.
• Proficient in mathematics, physics and statics for mechanical components.
• Experience with CREO Parametric and SolidWorks CAD software.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with MAGE engineers and program teams to meet requirements.
• Create mechanical designs, concepts and drawings for assembly and test equipment.
• Contribute to design reviews and proposals with CAD models and concepts.
• Support lifecycle through drawing releases and onsite fabrication operations.
• Tackle complex problems considering cost, quality, reliability and schedule.
