Job summary

RTX invites talented students to join a full-time co-op in Rockford, IL, focusing on mechanical design and manufacturing collaboration within aerospace systems. You will work under a design lead to review layouts, assess manufacturability, and support cross-functional teams to drive project completion.

You will gain hands-on experience in design, analysis, and documentation, while developing skills in inspection, drafting, and problem solving in a fast-paced engineering environment.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related STEM.
• Active enrollment through the completion of the internship/co-op session.

Responsibilities

• Review layouts and drawings to ensure clarity, completeness, conformity to standards, and accuracy.
• Coordinate with engineering personnel to ensure project completion.
• Assist design lead in component creation and perform analysis to substantiate models.
• Resolve design problems of difficult scope to ensure project completion.
