Job summary

RTX's San Marcos facility is seeking a Mechanical Assembler I to perform mechanical and electro-mechanical assembly, tests, and inspections on aerospace-grade products. You will work in a fast-paced environment on first shift (7am-3:30pm), applying blueprints and operation sheets to build components.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and practical experience with hand/tools in a cleanroom setting, with a readiness to lift up to 25 lbs and stand long hours.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent (e.g., GED) required.
• 1+ year of machine operation experience preferred.
• 1+ year reading/interpreting blueprints or engineering drawings.
• 1+ year experience with hand and/or power tools.

Responsibilities

• Performs quality checks and records defects.
• Reworks and repairs assembled equipment per specs.
• Precision assembly using hand tools.
• Measures with calipers, micrometers, and rulers.
• Follows blueprints and operation sheets.
