Job summary

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a skilled Drafter in Elkton, Maryland to produce detailed 2D drawings and 3D CAD models for aviation components. You'll translate engineering concepts into production-ready designs, supporting quality, manufacturing, and project execution.

This on-site, 7-month contract offers exposure to Siemens NX, GD&T, and ASME standards, with a 9/80 schedule and competitive pay. Position requires strong precision and collaboration with engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of CAD drafting and modeling experience.
• Strong ability to develop accurate 2D drawings and 3D models.
• Experience creating and interpreting detailed engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of engineering drafting practices and standards.

Responsibilities

• Plan, lay out, create, and revise detailed part, assembly, and installation engineering drawings.
• Develop drawings using basic layouts, established references, standard engineering data, and technical requirements.
• Create and modify 2D CAD drawings and 3D CAD models for products, tooling, testing components, and assemblies.
• Utilize Siemens NX to develop accurate engineering documentation.
• Produce complete and accurate production detail drawings.
• Support drafting requirements involving structures, devices, mechanical and electrical systems.
