This critical role helps maintain production flow, on-time delivery, and customer satisfaction within a regulated aerospace environment. The Driver acts as an extension of Supply Chain and ensures materials move efficiently and securely in line with Lean principles.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Licensing: Valid driver’s license with clean record; forklift certification preferred.
• Experience: 2+ years driving in manufacturing or logistics.
• Aerospace experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate company vehicles (van/truck) to transport materials, parts, and documentation.
• Execute scheduled and ad hoc pickups and deliveries to suppliers, customers, and external processors.
• Ensure all deliveries meet required timelines to support production schedules and customer commitments.
• Load and unload materials using forklift and proper handling methods to prevent damage to components.
• Verify part quantities, documentation, and condition prior to transport.
• Maintain chain of custody for all materials, ensuring traceability and compliance with AS9100 requirements.
• Complete and manage delivery paperwork, including packing slips, certifications, and transfer logs.
• Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company safety policies.
• Support audit readiness through accurate and organized recordkeeping.
• Coordinate with Dispatch, Shipping, and Receiving teams to align transportation priorities.
• Communicate delays, risks, or issues proactively.
• Support urgent customer recovery actions as needed.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of transport vehicles.
• Adhere to all safety protocols, including proper handling of sensitive or high-value components.
