This role supports process development, supplier qualification, material selection, and repair decisions for aerospace parts. The candidate should be familiar with finishes development, heat treating, forming, adhesive bonding, and metal processing such as casting, forging, extrusion and welding. Qualifications

• Bachelor, Master or Doctor of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, materials science, physics or chemistry.
• 2+ years of engineering experience in engineering discipline field.
• 2+ years of experience in manufacturing environment.
• Experience working as an engineer on a multi-disciplined team with frequent interaction with suppliers and customers.
• Must be a U.S. Person.

Responsibilities

• Defines requirements and approves tools, equipment, materials, parts and processes used in the engineering design, manufacture and/or maintenance of products
• Produces specifications and other documents to manage the deployment of tools, equipment, materials, parts and processes
• Evaluates emerging technologies for potential application to business needs
• Develops and qualifies new tools, equipment, materials, parts and processes to meet requirements
• Integrates new technologies as appropriate
• Leads test and audit programs to qualify suppliers to applicable requirements
• Conduct failure analysis and Root cause corrective action to characterize failure of tools, materials, parts or processes
• Implements corrective and preventive actions
• Uses project management tools to meet cost, technical, and schedule requirements
