Job summary

magniX, based in the Pacific Northwest, is a leader in electric propulsion and battery technology for aerospace. We are seeking a Materials and Process Engineer to support the design and development of electric powertrain components and to establish production standards that meet regulatory requirements.

You will lead cross-functional teams, develop test plans, and collaborate with suppliers, manufacturers, and QA to ensure quality and compliance throughout the product lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science or greater in Material Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of relevant experience in a highly regulated industry (aerospace).
• Familiarity with FAA certification requirements.
• Familiarity with ISO/IEC 9001 AS9100 standards.
• Knowledge of testing mechanical properties of metallic and soft materials.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional teams to establish and improve internal Materials and Process specifications.
• Provide M&P direction on metallic and non-metallic parts including heat treating and coatings.
• Create test plans and procedures for materials, processes, and qualifications.
• Ensure design requirements are met through manufacturing controls and drawings.
