Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. in Irvine, CA, is seeking a Materials Planning Manager to lead demand forecasting, inventory strategies, and production requirements for aerospace fasteners, while developing team performance.

You will oversee daily planning using ERP/MRP, drive production schedules to meet targets, coordinate new product introductions, and ensure AS9100 and ITAR compliance across the supply chain.

Qualifications

• Aerospace materials planning knowledge including demand forecasting and scheduling.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems in aerospace manufacturing.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret complex data and drive insights.
• Experience managing teams in ITAR-regulated aerospace/defense facilities.
• Understanding AS9100 quality standards and their impact on materials management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily materials planning using ERP to forecast demand and optimize inventory.
• Drive production schedules to meet targets while optimizing inventory.
• Coordinate new product introduction stage gates to ensure on-time delivery.
• Develop inventory control strategies to minimize stockouts and excess inventory, supporting AS9100 compliance.
• Prepare and present materials planning reports and KPIs to senior management.
