Job summary

Xona is a leading navigational intelligence company focused on real-time, centimeter-level precision for devices worldwide. The Materials & Inventory Specialist will support R&D, satellite manufacturing, and contract manufacturing partners, coordinating the flow of flight hardware and electronic components from receiving through inventory, kitting, consignment, production, and shipment.

You will work with Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, Production, and contract manufacturers to ensure

Qualifications

2–4 years in materials, inventory, production control, or related roles in high‑reliability manufacturing.
Experience supporting PCBA manufacturing or electronics production with contract manufacturers.
Familiarity with part numbers, date/lot codes, moisture‑sensitive devices, and ESD contents.
Experience working from BOMs, work orders, kit lists, and production schedules.
Experience with inventory transactions, cycle counts, material issuance, receiving, and reconciliation.
Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and inventory-management software.
Familiarity with ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality management systems.
Understanding of HTS, ECCN, Incoterms, and controlled-item handling for shipping.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in records and transactions.
Excellent communication to coordinate across Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering, Production, and suppliers.
Ability to identify material risks and drive resolution with stakeholders.
Flexible to evolving program needs and schedules; proactive process improvement.
Able to lift at least 40 lbs and stand/reach as required in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

Perform incoming receiving processes for hardware, components, and materials with verification and documentation.
Inspect incoming items for damage, quantity, traceability, and required documentation.
Maintain accurate inventory records for serialized, lot-controlled, and revision-controlled items.
Coordinate material requirements for PCBA builds with internal teams and external partners.
Prepare and issue electronic component kits for PCBA assembly with correct part numbers and BOMs.
Track and reconcile consigned inventory at external suppliers and manage shortages/excess.
Kit and issue inventory to internal teams per BOMs and production needs.
Maintain organized inventory locations per 5S, ESD, FOD requirements.
Conduct regular cycle counts and investigate discrepancies for corrective actions.
Support material configuration changes and movement between programs and storage.
Coordinate movement of hardware and kits between cleanrooms, warehouses, and suppliers.
Pack and crate outgoing shipments and prepare shipping documentation.
Operate lift equipment, pallet jacks, cranes as needed.
Identify opportunities to improve inventory controls and ERP/MRP processes.
