Job summary

Thomas Global Systems in Irvine, CA is seeking a Materials Expeditor to drive inventory movements and optimize lab materials for avionics components.

You will manage safety stock, monitor WIP, and ensure data integrity in ERP/MRP while complying with FAA, EASA, and AS9100. This is an onsite role with a fast-paced aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years aerospace logistics, inventory control or related experience.
• Working knowledge of AS9100 standards and aerospace traceability practices.
• Ability to interpret BOMs and work orders.
• Experience using Excel and ERP/MRP systems for inventory transactions.
• APICS/ASCM certifications preferred.
• Lean/5S or Kanban exposure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive inventory availability in the lab for avionics components.
• Establish safety stock levels and reorder points to support production continuity.
• Manage obsolescence and report expirations to procure new materials.
• Monitor WIP, identify bottlenecks, and improve material flow.
• Identify shortages and coordinate cross-functionally to secure material.
• Track stock outages and provide insights to improve efficiency.
• Ensure ERP/MRP data accuracy and drive process improvements.
• Support FAA/EASA/AS9100 audits and maintain audit-ready records.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration with Procurement, Engineering, Production, Quality.
• Back up stockroom duties including receiving and shipping.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in inventory control.
• Provide guidance to stockroom staff on processes.
