Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Material Control Specialist to ensure material accountability and traceability across the supply chain. You will coordinate with project managers and production teams to maintain accurate inventory from receiving through shipment of finished goods.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 0–2 years in aerospace material control, and familiarity with MS Office; forklift operation training and the potential to obtain security clearance are included.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or higher required.
• 0–2 years of aerospace material control experience with AS9100-compliant systems preferred.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office; experience with QuickBooks and MRP/ERP systems is a plus.
• Willingness to learn, improve, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to obtain Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Ensure availability and traceability of hardware, electrical components, and metal stock with Project/Program Managers and shop floor.
• Set up, organize, and maintain inventory recording and control systems for accuracy and traceability from receiving to shipment.
• Perform material kitting for projects.
• Receive and inspect materials, including material certs and certificates of conformance.
• Adhere to DFARS, FAR, and other contractual requirements and AS9100 documentation.
