Job summary

RTX in Spokane, WA is offering a Material/Process Engineering internship focused on carbon/carbon brake manufacturing. The role involves monitoring production, data analysis, and reporting to engineers, with opportunities to qualify new technology and lead process improvements onsite.

You will learn aerospace manufacturing processes, flight-critical specifications, and Discrepant Material Review workflows while collaborating with multiple sites and senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.

Responsibilities

• Do ongoing production monitoring and troubleshooting under guidance from engineers.
• Perform data mining and analysis to support root cause investigations and changes validation.
• Write detailed technical reports and deliver presentations.
• Write and maintain product & process specifications.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives for cost reduction or process improvement.
• Liaise among carbon sites, Troy headquarters, and other departments regarding brake programs.
