Job summary

RTX’s internship program offers hands-on experience in manufacturing processes for carbon/carbon composites used in aircraft brakes. The Material/Process Engineering Intern collaborates with engineers on production monitoring, data analysis, and reporting, while addressing process issues to meet quality, cost, and delivery goals.

This onsite role is in Spokane, WA, with growth opportunities across the RTX network.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering and enrolled through internship/co-op.
• Experience with data manipulation and analysis is preferred.
• Technical writing and presentation delivery skills are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and troubleshoot production issues under guidance from engineers.
• Perform data mining and analysis to support root-cause investigations.
• Write detailed technical reports and deliver presentations.
• Create and maintain product and process specifications.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce cost or improve processes.
• Coordinate with multiple sites and departments regarding brake programs.
