Job summary

Collins Aerospace seeks a Material Handler II for 1st shift at our Lenexa, KS facility. You will move materials from warehouse to production floors, verify quantities and part numbers, and maintain accurate inventory movement in company systems. This role requires being on site and U.S. citizenship is required due to system access.

Responsibility includes safe operation of pallet jacks and forklifts, organizing staging areas, and coordinating material deliveries to meet production schedules.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately identify materials and part numbers.
• Basic computer skills and experience with inventory or warehouse management systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for timely and accurate transport raw materials, components, packaging, and other supplies from the warehouse to designated production areas.
• Transfer incoming stock from other warehouse/stock locations or receiving into warehouse bin locations.
• Monitor material requirements and respond to requests from production personnel.
• Verify material quantities, part numbers, and labels before delivering materials to the production floor.
• Maintain accurate inventory movement and material transactions using company systems or documentation.
• Return unused or excess materials from production to the appropriate warehouse locations.
• Perform inventory counts and investigate material discrepancies as assigned.
• Keep material staging areas, aisles, and work areas organized and free of obstructions.
• Safely operate material-handling equipment such as pallet jacks, carts, forklifts, or other equipment as authorized.
• Follow all company safety procedures, quality requirements, and material-handling practices.
• Communicate material shortages, delays, damaged materials, or other issues to the appropriate supervisor or production personnel.
• Prioritize material deliveries based on production schedules and operational needs.
• Support continuous improvement efforts related to material flow, inventory accuracy, and production efficiency.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
