Job summary

Spirit AeroSystems, Inc. in Wichita, KS is hiring for a material handler role to support timely delivery of parts and materials to production lines.

You will perform receiving, locating, issuing, kitting, and movement of materials, operate material handling equipment, verify counts and part numbers, and coordinate with management, vendors and shipping personnel to maintain inventory accuracy. Qualifications

• Must be willing and able to work any shift; training on 1st shift with move to 2nd shift.
• Must have a valid drivers license.
• Basic math skills.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Receive, locate, issue, kit, prepare and move materials to facilitate production processes.
• Operate and inspect material handling equipment and tools for damage or wear.
• Record and verify part numbers, quantities and movements in systems.
• Move, load and unload air cargo as required.
• Ensure proper packaging and labeling of materials and prepare appropriate documentation.
• Train other employees as needed.
