Job summary

Spirit AeroSystems, Wichita, KS, is seeking personnel to perform a broad range of material support tasks essential for on-time production. The role includes moving materials, operating equipment, and maintaining accurate records across multiple tasks in a union environment.

You will be trained to handle freight, load/unload rail cars and airport cargo, and operate various industrial vehicles while following safety and procedures.

Qualifications

• Willing to work any shift.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Move materials (raw materials, tools, parts, equipment, surplus property) to support production.
• Enter and retrieve data in CMMS to complete daily/weekly tasks.
• Coordinate customer work requests with management via trouble call system.
• Operate motive equipment including fork trucks and other industrial vehicles.
• Perform checks on hardware/tools for damage and route obsolete items for disposition.
• Operate information systems required to perform tasks.
• Escort and protect parts, equipment and structures; ensure proper handling.
• Load and unload air cargo as required.
• Report malfunctions and unsafe equipment; refuel equipment when needed.
• Train other employees as requested.
