Job summary

Spirit AeroSystems, Inc. in Wichita, Kansas, is hiring for a material support role within its Spirit Commercial operations.

The position involves moving products, operating material handling equipment, overhead cranes, and maintaining records to ensure timely delivery to customers. The role requires ability to work at extreme heights, pass a color vision test, and be willing to work shifts (majority on 2nd shift).

Qualifications

• Must be able to work at extreme heights.
• Must be able to bend, squat or stoop for extended periods.
• Must be able to climb flights of stairs and walk extensive distances.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must pass a vision exam including color identification.
• Willing to work any shift; majority will be on 2nd shift.

Responsibilities

• Move crew will check incoming and departing rail car status reports and manage loading/unloading equipment.
• Load rail cars using mechanical aids as per work instructions and verify manifests.
• Maintain records of loading/unloading activities and communicate with management and shipping personnel.
• Report unsafe or malfunctioning equipment and ensure proper safety protocols.
