Job summary

Spirit AeroSystems, Wichita, is seeking a material handler to support production flows in a union environment. You will receive, store, kit and move materials, operate forklifts, and work with various information systems to ensure accurate inventory and timely deliveries.

The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, a valid drivers license, and willingness to work any shift. Training on first shift will precede a move to second shift; forge strong teamwork in a fast-paced plant setting.

Qualifications

• Must be willing and able to work any shift. Train on 1st then move to 2nd shift.
• Must have a valid drivers license
• Basic math skills.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Receive, locate, issue, kit, prepare and move materials to support production processes.
• Verify part numbers and quantities for in-process material.
• Operate information systems required to perform tasks.
• Load and unload air cargo as required.
• Inspect equipment and report malfunctions and unsafe conditions.
• Train other employees as requested or required.
