Job summary

RTX Corporation is seeking a Material Handler for Pratt & Whitney in Asheville, NC. This onsite role supports production and shipping/receiving with responsibilities including material receipt, storage, packing, labeling, and system documentation.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or GED and 1+ years in materials/logistics, with OSHA safety knowledge. The position offers comprehensive benefits and a 3x12 shift schedule (Fri–Sun 6:00 am–6:30 pm).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of experience in materials, shipping & receiving, warehouse operations, or logistics.
• Familiarity with OSHA and general safety practices is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties supporting production or shipping & receiving operations.
• Receive, store, issue and transport materials such as rough stores, finished parts, tooling and consumables.
• Query systems to retrieve information, perform pick/pack, kitting and shipping to fulfill internal and external requirements.
• Ensure all documentation is accurate and entered into the system.
• Operate and maintain central and mini cribs; manage supplies and consumables.
• Conduct cycle counts and verify item numbers; update the database as needed.
• Operate packing and labeling equipment; adhere to approved packing methods.
