Job summary

Northrop Grumman Corp. is hiring a Manufacturing Technician 3 in Iuka, MS. Join our Aeronautics Systems manufacturing team and contribute to blueprint-based fabrication of structural assemblies with precision drilling and riveting.

The role requires bending, lifting up to 35 pounds, and the ability to work any shift. Candidates must read technical drawings, use precision measuring tools, and maintain strict quality standards in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with 4+ years experience in hydraulic parts, assemblies, components, or systems in an aerospace, automotive, military, manufacturing and/or maintenance environment.
• Able to perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitious work (lifting up to 35 pounds, bending, stooping, working overhead) and access confined spaces.
• Must obtain and maintain U.S. Government Secret clearance and Special Program Access; U.S. Citizenship required.
• Ability to work any shift as described (Mon-Thurs, Tue-Friday etc.).

Responsibilities

• Read and translate blueprints into fabrications of structural assemblies with precision drilling, countersinking, and use of calibrated tools.
• Aligning parts on jigs using templates and fixtures; perform part-fitting operations (drilling, riveting, reaming).
• Measure parts with micrometers and calipers to verify dimensions; modify assemblies as required.
• Daily use of manufacturing shop controls and systems; work with PPE and maintain quality standards; support continuous improvement in production methods.
