Job summary

Vast is hiring a Manufacturing Technician, Mechanical Assemblies, to support subassembly operations for Haven-1 and beyond in Long Beach, CA. The role focuses on building Structures and Thermal Control Systems with precision drilling and measurement, collaborating with engineers to document procedures and ensure timely, safe production.

Ideal candidates have NPI experience, read technical drawings, and can work flexible shifts including overtime.

Qualifications

• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Ability to communicate with engineering and production teams.
• Experience with New Product Introduction/Development.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and follow instructions.
• Precision drilling experience (±0.001).

Responsibilities

• Manufacture and assemble flight hardware using drilling, fastening, bonding.
• Use precision calibrated tools such as torque wrenches, micrometers, calipers.
• Follow procedures, specifications, and test instructions.
• Collaborate with engineers and quality to document work instructions.
• Ensure production services are on time, safe, and professional.
• Perform other related duties to maintain efficient operations.
