Job summary

Amazon is hiring for a manufacturing technician to help in the production of the Amazon Kuiper satellites in the Seattle area. The role focuses on precision assembly, testing, and documentation of LRUs and avionics components for space hardware.

Candidates should have 1+ year experience with hand tools, precision instruments, and test methods, plus the ability to read engineering drawings. On-site work in WA with potential shift variations and long standing duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years in a high traceability manufacturing environment.
• 1+ years using hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
• 1+ years working with test tools and test methods that validate the system.
• Experience reading, interpreting, and working from engineering documentation and/or drawings.

Responsibilities

• Follow work instructions and safety procedures.
• Assemble and test LRUs, electrical-mechanical assemblies, avionics, or other complex aerospace builds.
• Use precision tools such as torque wrenches, multimeters, optical inspection devices, micrometers, and calipers.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Perform work according to procedures, specifications, and test instructions.
• Run functional and environmental testing on units.
• Collaborate with manufacturing engineers to document activities and improvements.
• Maintain an efficient, safe, and effective work environment.
