Job summary

Albedo is seeking an experienced hardware engineer to build, test, and repair spacecraft systems in a Denver-area facility. You’ll work across mechanical, electrical, thermal, and production equipment with a hands-on, fast-paced startup mindset.

The role requires 5+ years in aerospace hardware, strong reading of drawings, and proficiency with soldering, crimping, and test equipment. Relocation support to Denver is available and a robust benefits package applies.

Qualifications

  • Five-plus years hands-on experience building, testing, or troubleshooting aerospace hardware.
  • Ability to troubleshoot unfamiliar hardware from drawings, schematics, and test equipment.
  • Experience fabricating/repairing wire harnesses with crimping, soldering, and connector assembly.
  • Familiarity with IPC/WHMA-A-620, NASA-STD-8739.4, or equivalent aerospace standards.
  • Strong attention to detail, documentation, and workmanship.

Responsibilities

  • Build, integrate, test, troubleshoot, rework, and repair spacecraft hardware and production equipment.
  • Support mechanical, electrical, thermal, fluid, and electromechanical assembly and test activities.
  • Fabricate and inspect wire harnesses and perform continuity testing.
  • Read engineering drawings, schematics, BOMs, and test procedures.
  • Diagnose hardware issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and improve manufacturing processes, tooling, and inspection methods.
  • Provide hands-on feedback to improve producibility and testability.
  • Maintain build records, material traceability, and test data.
  • Train and mentor teammates on assembly techniques.
