Job summary

Accurus Aerospace Corporation in Wichita, KS is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Technician to support machining, sheet metal, and assembly operations. The role focuses on documenting processes, resolving issues, and coordinating with internal teams and aerospace customers on quality and technical matters. Qualifications

5+ years of aerospace manufacturing/assembly experience.
Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office; ERP/PLM familiarity.
Experience with CAD/CAM tools preferred.
Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt or higher preferred.

Responsibilities

Develop and optimize manufacturing processes and work instructions to improve repeatability and reduce cycle time.
Interpret drawings, 3D models, and specs to develop build processes.
Collaborate with machining, fabrication, and assembly teams to ensure robust processes.
Support first article builds and resolve manufacturability issues.
Lead root-cause investigations for quality issues.
Interact with aerospace customers on quality and technical issues.
Lead small continuous improvement projects and document them.
Maintain process documents and ensure AS9100 compliance.
May design tooling and use CAD systems to model layouts.
May assist engineering with DFM considerations.
