Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Manufacturing Technician 3 for the Iuka, MS site. The role supports the Manufacturing Operations Organization with a hands-on focus and attention to detail in a high‑quality environment.

The position offers multiple shifts (Mon-Thu 7am-5:30pm, Mon-Thu 5:30pm-4am, Fri-Sun 7am-7:30pm, Fri-Sun 7pm-7:30am) with shift differential where eligible; relocation assistance may be available and US Secret clearance is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with at least 4 years of experience in hydraulic parts, assemblies, components, or systems in aerospace, automotive, military, manufacturing or maintenance environments.
• Ability to perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitious work including bending, stooping, kneeling, lifting up to 35 pounds, working overhead or at heights, and access to small confined spaces.
• Must obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret level clearance; U.S. Citizenship required for clearance.
• Must complete ASTAR New Hire Training/Compliance within a reasonable time period.
• Must have ability to work any shift.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand blueprints.
• Translate blueprints into fabrication of structural assemblies with precision drilling, countersinking and use of calibrated tools.
• Align parts on jigs using templates and fixtures.
• Perform part-fitting operations including filing, sawing, burring, crimping, trimming, riveting, drilling and reaming.
• Measure parts with micrometers and calipers to verify dimensions.
• Modify assemblies to incorporate changes and verify quality per process controls.
• Daily use of manufacturing shop controls and systems.
• Use PPE on the shop floor.
• Suggest and implement continuous improvement in production methods, equipment performance and team effectiveness.
