Job summary

Electro-Methods Inc. in South Windsor, CT is seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer to develop and optimize processes for precision aerospace components, create work instructions, and design tooling for efficient production.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least 5 years of aerospace manufacturing experience, with strong GD&T and NX CAD proficiency. Collaboration with Design, Quality, and Production is essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Aerospace Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in aerospace manufacturing engineering.
  • Proficiency in reading engineering drawings, GD&T, and 3D modeling.
  • Experience with NX CAD and fixture/tooling design.
  • Strong problem-solving and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for aerospace components.
  • Create engineering drawings and 3D models to support manufacturing planning.
  • Design tooling and fixtures for repeatable, high-quality production.
  • Create MWIs and technical documentation.
  • Plan sequencing of manufacturing operations focusing on quality, cost, throughput.
  • Collaborate with Design, Quality, and Production to implement processes.
  • Provide shop-floor technical support and drive continuous improvement.
  • Support Lean manufacturing initiatives and cost-saving efforts.
  • Use NX CAD to develop and review models and tool designs.
