Job summary

Spirit AeroSystems in Wichita, KS is hiring for an associate manufacturing engineer to support fabrication, assembly and tooling development within aerospace operations. The role focuses on coordinating with engineering and production teams to implement plans and ensure producibility.

Qualifications

• High School/GED required or equivalent.
• 2-4 years of relevant manufacturing experience.
• Engineering degree preferred (Bachelor's/Master's).
• Experience with Catia is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Implements fabrication, assembly, or installation plans with teams.
• Develop tooling, interchangeability, replacement, and test plans.
• Create work instructions, datasets, tooling requirements, BOMs.
• Coordinate with engineering to clarify concepts and address issues.
• Demonstrate configuration control of hardware within the build plan.
• Apply knowledge in composites, electrical, machining, sheet metal, or structures.
