Job summary

A&R Engineering Co., Inc. is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Operations leader to oversee day-to-day manufacturing and assembly activities in Carson, CA.

You will partner with the GM and Production Manager to set priorities across shifts and drive continuous improvement initiatives in a high‑volume aerospace environment. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field, 7+ years of manufacturing experience, Lean training, and strong leadership and ERP skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Aerospace Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• +7 years of work experience in manufacturing/production.
• Lean Manufacturing training or certification preferred (6S, Kaizen and Visual Management).
• Hands-on experience managing a manufacturing facility with CNC, secondary operations, and multi-part assembly in a medium to high volume environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of Manufacturing and Assembly personnel.
• Coordinate with Production Manager and Master Scheduler to establish priorities on both shifts for all production areas.
• Create training aids to increase skill sets for assemblers, operators, and ERP users.
• Schedule repairs and Preventive Maintenance for key production equipment.
• Report production KPIs: Safety, OTD, machine utilization, labor efficiency, cost of quality, FPY and quality rejections.
