Job summary
Belcan Corporation in Meriden, CT seeks a Manufacturing Manager to oversee daily production operations, ensuring safety, quality, on-time delivery, and cost targets across aerospace and defense programs. You will lead production, continuous improvement, and cross-functional coordination to optimize performance while maintaining regulatory compliance.
The role reports to senior management, supervises Supervisors and the Facility Manager, and requires strong leadership, budgeting and KPI oversight
Qualifications
- 5-10+ years of manufacturing leadership experience in aerospace/defense.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, planning and supply chain ops.
- Experience with AS9100 / ISO 9001 quality systems.
- Proven leadership of supervisors and production teams.
- ERP/MRP proficiency and MS Office skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day manufacturing and operational activities.
- Drive on-time delivery while maintaining aerospace quality standards.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency, throughput, and cost.
- Ensure compliance with AS9100, ISO, ITAR, OSHA, and regulatory requirements.
- Partner with Quality, Engineering, Purchasing and Planning to resolve production constraints.
- Monitor KPIs including OTD, labor efficiency and capacity utilization.
