Job summary

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. is seeking a production supervisor for the manufacturing and assembly area on a 2nd shift (3 pm to 12:30 am). The role coordinates daily production activities, assigns work, and ensures policy compliance while guiding personnel and overseeing tooling development.

The candidate will lead a team, analyze work orders, manage materials, improve methods, and collaborate with engineering and planning staff to meet milestones and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and nine or more years of progressive experience in a related technical field.
• Extensive technical understanding of production and assembly concepts and practices.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Supervises assemblers and technicians in production across locations per schedules; provides guidance and coaching.
• Oversees design and building of tooling for the production process.
• Analyzes work orders and blueprints to determine materials, operations, and sequences; monitors materials and tooling supply.
• Implements plans and schedules to improve product quality, repeatability and efficiency.
• Assists in hiring, promotion and training of subordinate employees; leads team performance.
• Ensures safety compliance with laws and company procedures; observes all applicable obligations.
