You will directly supervise shift personnel, assist with machine set-ups and changeovers, and run production equipment as needed to keep schedules on track. The role emphasizes independent problem‑solving, first article inspections, GD&T interpretation, and compliance with AS9100 quality standards.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years in a CNC machining or aerospace manufacturing environment.
• Experience with first article inspections preferred.
• Prior lead or supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with aerospace quality systems and AS9100 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise 2nd shift production personnel to meet daily goals.
• Oversee limited, low-volume production runs and coverage across machines.
• Perform first article inspections to verify parts per prints.
• Assist with machine set-ups and changeovers to minimize downtime.
• Operate CNC machines as needed to cover vacancies or training.
• Identify and resolve open-ended production problems on the floor.
• Make independent decisions when support is not immediately available.
• Monitor shift quality and document nonconforming material.
• Communicate shift status and hand-offs to incoming shift and Plant Manager.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies and aerospace quality requirements.
