Job summary

Ensign-Bickford Aerospace & Defense Company is seeking an Engineering Technician to support Product Engineers in developing and refining manufacturing processes. Responsibilities include aiding design, safety analyses, and layout of production cells while ensuring adherence to technical data packages.

The role requires a high school diploma with college credits or related manufacturing experience, CAD proficiency, and strong problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus 15 college credit hours, or roughly 5 years of related manufacturing experience or military training.
• Ability to interpret basic engineering drawings and specifications.
• Experience with CAD tools such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks and general computing skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily hands-on support to Engineering or other personnel.
• Assist Product Engineers with design, development and validation of manufacturing processes.
• Assist with Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) under PS M procedures and support safety reviews.
• Assist in designing and layout of production cells and processes, including tooling and fixtures.
• Perform process set-ups, change-overs, and participate in kaizen and lean improvement activities.
• Train production staff on process documentation and work instructions; assist troubleshooting equipment/process issues.
