Job summary

Sonaca North America is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in St. Charles, MO to support the Development Projects Team during startup phases of new programs.

The role involves evaluating needs, coordinating development plans, and tracking performance across Fabrication, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Quality departments. Responsibilities include creating startup plans, scheduling milestones, resolving production issues, documenting actions, and supporting process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering; experience in manufacturing project management.
• Excellent communication and teamwork; able to work in a dynamic environment.
• Familiarity with TeamCenter Suite is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers in developing startup plans and coordinating customer approvals for new programs.
• Interface between Manufacturing Engineering, Project Management and Plant Operations to ensure clear requirements and constraints.
• Prepare schedules with milestones, first article flow and production transition.
• Coordinate and resolve engineering issues related to production and assembly operations.
• Document issues and communicate to related departments; follow up to ensure resolution.
• Lead or assist in process improvement projects and supplier meetings as needed.
