Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for a leading aerospace manufacturer in Parsippany, NJ. You will plan, develop, and implement production methods and cell setups for all products including overhaul and repair, and contribute to manufacturability and continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate holds a BS in engineering with 2–5 years in manufacturing engineering, CAD experience (Creo) with GD&T, and knowledge of Lean manufacturing.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or Industrial Engineering with 2–5 years in a manufacturing engineering role.
• Familiarity with CAD software, including Creo or equivalent platforms, and GD&T drawing standards.
• Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement techniques.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment while managing multiple priorities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to instruct technicians, machinists, suppliers, customers, and other personnel.

Responsibilities

• Plans, develops, and implements production methods and cell set-up, including layout, routers and build books for all products including overhaul & repair.
• Plans and coordinates efforts toward the acquisition of needed equipment and tooling.
• Develops and maintains production standards.
• Assists in the troubleshooting of mechanical/electrical problems and test failures.
• Reviews engineering drawings for manufacturability. Writes engineering change orders as required.
• Witnesses and evaluates acceptance tests on units to verify performance and test procedures.
• Reviews designs and processes for continuous improvement opportunities & manufacturability.
