Job summary

LeoForce is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in Parsippany, NJ to plan, develop, and implement production methods and cell setups for aerospace products. You will coordinate equipment/tooling acquisitions, maintain production standards, and support troubleshooting of mechanical/electrical issues.

The ideal candidate holds a BS in Engineering with 2–5 years in manufacturing engineering, CAD with Creo, and Lean/continuous improvement experience.

Qualifications

• BS degree in engineering with 2–5 years experience in manufacturing engineering or internships/co-ops in aerospace manufacturing
• Familiarity with Creo or equivalent CAD software and GD&T drawing standards
• Good knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement techniques
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment and manage multiple priorities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for technicians, machinists, suppliers, customers

Responsibilities

• Plans, develops, and implements production methods and cell setup, including layout, routers and build books for all products including overhaul & repair.
• Plans and coordinates acquisition of needed equipment and tooling.
• Develops and maintains production standards.
• Assists in troubleshooting mechanical/electrical problems and test failures.
• Reviews engineering drawings for manufacturability and writes engineering change orders as required.
• Witnesses and evaluates acceptance tests to verify product performance and test accuracy.
• Reviews designs and processes for continuous improvement opportunities & manufacturability.
