Job summary

Barnes Aerospace is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in East Granby, CT, to create 3D models of jet engine assemblies using NX CAD and SolidWorks. You will generate operation sheets, set up routings, BOMs, and item cards in the ERP system while ensuring NC/CAD data accuracy.

You will interact with shop personnel to develop manufacturable processes and participate in CI projects, requiring strong communication and a solid aerospace background.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing or related field.
• 5+ years in aerospace or manufacturing environments.
• Proficiency with NX CAD and SolidWorks; ability to read blueprints.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to present to management.
• Experience in CI, root cause analysis, and process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Create 3D models of assemblies and components in NX and SolidWorks.
• Generate operation sheets and work instructions from models.
• Oversee NX standards and configuration and maintain cad data.
• Create routing, BOM, and item cards in ERP system.
• Develop milestones and ensure engineering tasks stay on track.
• Collaborate with shop personnel to develop manufacturable processes.
• Support tool design and assist customers/vendors on engineering items.
• Participate in root cause analysis and CI projects.
