Job summary

Beehive Industries in Knoxville, TN is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to drive production readiness, develop processes, and support NPI from prototype to production. You will apply Lean principles to improve manufacturability, quality, and cost across the product lifecycle.

Requires a Bachelor's in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Aerospace engineering and 2+ years of experience; ability to interpret drawings; cross-functional collaboration; and U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain a U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field is required.
• Typically requires 2+ years in manufacturing engineering or related environments.
• Experience with machining, assembly, welding, additive manufacturing or fabrication is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support manufacturing strategy and execution activities for assigned products or components.
• Develop manufacturing processes, workflows, and production requirements.
• Support DFM/DFA reviews with Design Engineering teams.
• Create and maintain manufacturing documentation including process flows and work instructions.
• Support NPI activities from prototype builds through production transition.
• Assist with manufacturing risk assessments and mitigation activities.
• Support root cause investigations and corrective actions for manufacturing issues.
• Partner with operations, quality, supply chain, and engineering teams to improve production execution.
• Support tooling concepts, process improvements, and manufacturing readiness activities.
• Analyze manufacturing performance metrics including yield, cycle time, and process capability.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Participate in program reviews and manufacturing readiness assessments.
