Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support aerospace production operations and continuous improvement initiatives. You will partner with production, quality, and engineering to improve manufacturing performance, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with aerospace quality requirements.

Responsibilities include leading Lean initiatives, maintaining LOB reporting, PFMEA activities, and collaboration on drawings for manufacturability and assembly.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years in industrial or mechanical engineering, or 3+ years in a production supervisory role.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or 3+ years of production supervisory experience.
• US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
• Experience generating SOPs, routers, and SOPs for aircraft interior components and secondary support structures.
• Experience using ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain daily reporting on the production Line of Balance (LOB) to the Value Stream Manager.
• Lead Lean, 5S, and Kaizen initiatives to eliminate waste and reduce costs.
• Ensure processes comply with AS9100 and FAA requirements.
• Partner with Quality Assurance for First Article Inspection (FAI) activities.
• Coordinate liaison engineering activities and disposition of non-conforming products or configurations.
• Lead PFMEA activities to identify and mitigate manufacturing risks.
• Collaborate on drawing updates, design changes, and product improvements.
• Generate engineering end items and documentation to support production.
• Review and approve drawings for DFM and DFA during the release process.
