Job summary

North Atlantic Industries, Inc. invites a Summer 2027 Intern – Manufacturing Engineer to support mechanical and manufacturing activities for aerospace electronic products.

You’ll gain hands-on experience with mechanical design, production processes, tooling, and shop-floor problem solving while collaborating with Engineering, Production, Quality, and the machine shop to improve manufacturability and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Mechatronics fields.
• Foundational knowledge of mechanical design and engineering drawings.
• Experience with 3D CAD software through coursework or projects.
• U.S. Person status required for certain positions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and update mechanical drawings and engineering change documentation.
• Support mechanical design and detailing for products.
• Design fixtures, tooling, gauges, and production aids under engineering guidance.
• Create and update work instructions, process documentation, and inspection requirements.
• Assist with prototype builds, engineering trials, and data collection.
• Support continuous improvement projects affecting workflow and efficiency.
