Job summary

Howmet Aerospace's Howmet Fastening Systems in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II to optimize metal forming and production processes. You will work with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot, improve tooling, and lead capital projects to industrialize improvements.

The role requires a BS in mechanical/aerospace/metallurgical engineering, proficiency in SolidWorks, and familiarity with QAD MRP; 3–5 years in metalworking preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in mechanical, aerospace, metallurgical engineering or related field.
• Proficient in SolidWorks.
• QAD MRP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain flow of production via real time trouble shooting and evaluation of rejected product.
• Maintain product drawings, routing sheets, manufacturing procedures and material specifications.
• Provide continuous improvement of tooling and manufacturing methods.
• Lead Capital Projects: justification and industrialization.
• Work with and lead production teams to enhance manufacturing processes and troubleshoot issues.
• Lead cross functional team in the determination of root cause, corrective action of problems.
• Help to ensure that quality and standards for the department are adhered to and maintained.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Adhere to Howmet EH&S, Quality, Continuous Improvements and other Company Policies.
