Howmet Aerospace in Fullerton, CA is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II to join our engineering team onsite. You will develop, evaluate and enhance manufacturing methods for aerospace machined components, applying knowledge of design, materials, fabrication, lean principles and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Industrial/Manufacturing) or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • 3+ years of engineering experience.
  • Strong knowledge of CNC manufacturing and aerospace standards.
  • Experience with AS9100 and NADCAP standards.
  • Knowledge of GD&T, fixturing and gaging methods.
  • Statistical process control experience in the aerospace industry.
  • Basic computer skills: Microsoft Office and SolidWorks or other modeling software.
  • Experience in metal manufacturing, titanium and/or nickel-based superalloys.

  • Support process changes, validations and shop-floor improvements.

  • Reviews and implements manufacturing drawing and engineering change notices.
  • Support Cost-Reduction and Efficiency initiatives.
  • Participates in PFMEA, Process Capability, and RCCA studies

Position Overview:

As a Manufacturing Engineer II at our Fullerton, CA location, you'll be part of our engineering team working as an onsite employe. This role develops, evaluates and enhances manufacturing methods for aerospace machined components, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials, fabrication processes, lean principles, assembly methods and quality control standards.'''

Key Responsibilities:

' Support manufacturing processes to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency.

' Assist with creating and maintaining work instructions, routers, and standard operating procedures.

' Support process changes, validations and shop-floor improvements.

' Participating in NPI, FAI, and Continuous Improvement Projects.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications

' Bachelor's degree in Engineering in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (OR equivalent hands-on relevant experience will also be considered).

' 3+ years of engineering experience.

' Strong knowledge of CNC manufacturing and aerospace standards.

' Experience with AS9100 and NADCAP standards.

' Knowledge of GD&T, fixturing and gaging methods.

' Statistical process control experience in the aerospace industry.

' Basic Computer Skills: Microsoft Office Suite products, and strong knowledge of Solidworks or other modeling software.

' Experience in metal manufacturing, especially using titanium and/or nickel based superalloys.

Salary Range:

' The pay range for this position in California is $110,00.00 - $130,00.00/year. Pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on payment may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
