Blue Origin in Huntsville, AL seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to design and implement efficient manufacturing systems, ensure tight quality control, and optimize supply chain logistics specific to Production/Operations.

You will translate engineering requirements into repeatable processes, collaborate with design, quality, and production teams, and develop documentation, including work instructions and process flows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited university.
• 3+ years manufacturing engineering experience (Level 2), 5+ years (Level 3), or 8+ years Sr. Manufacturing Engineer.
• 1+ year of experience creating English work instructions.

Responsabilités

• Contribute to design for manufacturability (DFM), design for assembly (DFA), and design for test (DFT) to build reliable space vehicles.
• Translate engineering requirements into robust manufacturing processes supporting Blue Origin's mission.
• Collaborate with design engineering, quality assurance, supply chain, and production teams to accelerate production timelines.
• Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation including work instructions, process flow diagrams, tool designs, and inspection plans.
• Evaluate and implement new manufacturing technologies and methods (machining, welding, brazing, additive manufacturing, advanced assembly).
• Support root cause analysis of process or product non-conformances; implement corrective actions to improve reliability.
• Ensure work aligns with AS9100 / ISO 9001 quality and safety standards.
• Participate in process FMEAs, risk assessments, and validation of new production lines and equipment.
• Apply AI technologies alongside traditional manufacturing tools to optimize processes and improve first-time quality.
